Niki Battaglia, Team Member Spotlight

Niki Battaglia is a natural born “Santeean” and has lived in San Diego her entire life.  She went to West Hills High School followed by Cuyamaca College.  From there Niki discovered her love for Human Resources and pursued a bachelor’s degree from Capella University.

Team culture is something Niki really enjoys at FLORES. The team constantly mentions how the family atmosphere is one of the prominent reasons why they enjoy working for FLORES and she is a firm believer in encouraging joy and teamwork in the workplace.  Niki facilitates monthly team events for the team and does not take this task lightly. She works very hard to provide the team with an opportunity to get together, have fun, and eat good food!

Niki is a board member of the German American Society in El Cajon and devouts a lot of her time to events such as Oktoberfest and Karneval.  She loves to play soccer and enjoys the transition from player to spectator and coach as her daughter is now focusing on the sport.

Family is very important to Niki. She met her husband in High School where they ran track together and after high school. Niki followed him into the service. When her husband returned from Afghanistan, they married in 2003 and welcomed their son in 2005 and daughter in 2009.  Shortly after their daughter was born, their son was diagnosed with Autism. This was a pivotal moment for the Battaglia family.   Out of her son’s diagnosis emerged the determination to provide every opportunity for him and as a team and they overcame every obstacle that they faced. #family strong
