My employee informed me of testing positive for Covid-19. When should I consider allowing him or her to return to work?

Employers should inform fellow employees of their possible exposure to Covid-19 in the workplace but adhere to HIPPA guidelines, and not mention the employee’s name.

The CDC and OSHA recommend the employee may return to work if:

  • They no longer have a fever.
  • Coughs and other symptoms have improved.
  • They have received two negative COVID-19 tests in a row
