Monica Glance – HR/Payroll Associate I
Monica was born, raised and lived in San Diego. She went to Valhalla High School and attended Grossmont, Cuyamaca & Mira Costa Colleges, completing her general studies with an emphasis in Real Estate & Accounting.
She enjoys the outdoors, whether that’s a local hike, going to the beach with girlfriends or camping with her family. Camping with her family is her favorite thing to do as she likes to get away from it all. She is often at home with her 3 kiddos, so a glass of red wine is needed from time to time! Monica also enjoys trying new restaurants with her fiancée. They are planning to get hitched in an intimate ceremony at the end of summer.
Monica started in the workforce full time while attending college at night. She worked in banking and home finance for over 15 years. In 2018 she was looking for a change, and that’s where she started a new career in Payroll, HR, light bookkeeping and all things restaurant management & administration. She worked there for 7 years when they closed in 2025 – and that’s when she found FLORES!
She is a HR/Payroll Associate I and one of her favorite aspects here are the people and the core values. TEAMWORK brings together individuals with diverse backgrounds, personalities, and areas of expertise. Monica truly appreciates seeing colleagues collaborate, support one another, and overcome challenges as a team. The ability to work together, solve problems, and achieve shared goals is something she values greatly at FLORES.

Monica likes this quote because it reminds her that when we face challenges, it’s important to stay strong and move forward. She feels accomplished after learning or mastering something she had previously struggled with. Monica looks forward to continuing to learn and grow. She hopes to obtain a certified payroll cert or SHRM certification in the future.
