Presley Ott – Accounting Associate II

Presley grew up on a farm in Yuma, AZ. She spent her summers as a kid driving a tractor and raising goats & cows. She lived there until she turned 18, when she moved to Flagstaff, AZ to go to NAU to study nursing. She changed her major a few times but ended up graduating with a hotel & restaurant management degree. She always wanted to live in San Diego, she has family in Bay Park, and originally moved to Oceanside in 2016.

When Presley gets any free time, she loves to bake, especially anything with chocolate. She almost always has homemade cookies and ice cream at her house. She also loves to garden and basically just loves being outside. Although she is kept pretty busy with her 7-month-old son she loves watching him grow and learn, especially discovering new foods. When she does get a chance to sit down and watch TV her guilty pleasures are the trashy reality shows, especially Vanderpump Rules!

Presley started working at 15 years old on the farm she grew up on. Being a real-life country girl! She mainly drove tractors, but her real love was cooking! So, she got a job at a local restaurant and started working in the kitchen. She has been a fry cook, grill master, and even a “froster” working at Nothing Bundt Cakes. She loved it, but hated the hours, and decided she wanted to work on the back end of operations, so, she wanted to go back to school and get her degree in accounting.

She got her first AP position working at Ababa Bolt before a friend convinced her to apply at Flores.  Now she works in the accounting department here at Flores as an AAII. She is very proud of the fact that Flores represents some of the most well-known restaurants in San Diego and has found some of her new favorite places because of working at Flores. She loves the flexibility and family focus that Flores offers, and she truly feels like she is a part of a family, especially with all the fun events that Flores puts on.

Presley is enjoying family life and is getting married in April. She has been with her partner and his daughters for 6 years now. She is so excited to officially be apart of their family. They all love to travel and see new places and are planning a trip after the wedding to celebrate their nuptials.

Presley takes great pleasure in puzzles, for her they are one of her favorite past times, and accounting is like one big puzzle. It is so satisfying digging into issues and putting together the pieces of a client’s financial information to provide them with insights into their business.
