Meet Salonn Thy, Accounting Associate

Salonn Thy was born in a Thai refugee camp in the 1980s. When her parents arrived in the United States, they decided to gofar West as they could go and settled in San Diego, California to provide her with a better life.

With the desire to travel and see the world from a young age, Salonn decided to join the U.S.  Army after graduating from Crawford High. She served six years and completed two combat tours overseas. After getting out of the service, Salonn went back to school to receive her Accounting Degree. 

She joined Flores Financial Services in February 2015 as an Accounting Associate.  Her primary duties include processing Accounts Payable, General Ledger entries, Sales, Payroll, and assisting the Accounting Manager with financials. 

Salonn’s favorite aspect about Flores is the company culture and core values. “A company culture is absolutely critical and determining my longevity of employment with the company. I like diversity and how the people here at Flores treat one another,” states Salonn. She is grateful for the flexible work schedule and the way the company treats the employees like family.

When not at work, Salonn is busy with her son’s sport and going to church. She enjoys spending time with my family, traveling, listening to music, playing chess, and going to the movies.
