Employee Spotlight: Meet Jessica Cagle

Jessica Cagle – Senior HR Generalist

Jessica Cagle is a Senior HR Generalist who has been with Flores the past seven years. She is a San Diego native. Her father was re-stationed to San Diego’s Naval Base from the midwest two weeks before she was born. In high school, Jessica was the star tennis player ranking #1 in women’s singles within the county. She also served as Editor-In-Chief of her school’s newspaper where she learned how to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.

While attending San Diego State University, she majored in journalism. During college, Jessica gained hands-on HR work experience by working in the retail field. She moved up the ranks from sales associate to store manager. It was through this role she began building her HR background. From conducting in-depth interviews, leading meetings, and steering the direct path of the team, her co-workers looked to her for guidance and inspiration. While at Vans and Forever 21, she learned a great deal about efficient communication, coordinating a team, and handling employee relations. In 2011, Jessica joined Flores as a receptionist and shortly thereafter joined the HR department part time. She then changed her major to HR Management and graduated in the spring of 2017.

Jessica describes witnessing the company’s rapid growth and expansion, stating the high growth goals Flores sets are achieved as a team. Now as the Senior HR Generalist, Jessica has seen the company flourish, expanding from two employees to fourteen (& growing!) in the HR department alone. Her responsibilities now include overseeing CRG manager files, assisting with the recruitment process, processing four client payrolls, helping with 401k admin, assisting with Start Up Services for new clients, and helping the department with projects/compliance. She loves Flores and says one of her favorite things about the company is the amount of support and expertise everyone makes available to one another. From problem solving and meaningful communication, the energy at Flores and between their employees radiates sincerity and care.

Outside of Flores, Jessica’s life is filled with love and laughs with her beautiful son Logan, who turned nine this past January 4th, and her loving husband Dave. They are a very close-knit family whose warm love and appreciation for one another could melt ice. They enjoy spending time together, quick road trips, and going on adventures in San Diego. In her free time, Jessica enjoys taking photos and constructing physical memoirs to give as gifts for friends and family. She likes being the “person who provides the memories”, as life itself is extremely precious and memories tell stories we cherish and hold heavy in our hearts. Jessica also impacts her community by volunteering at an organization for grieving parents, where she serves as a pillar of support, a listening friend, and helping hand.

Jessica exerts courage and a deep sense of wisdom about the understanding of life; something that can only be balanced and acquired from life’s experiences of hardship and beauty. Wherever she goes, she brings a “can do attitude”, appreciation and sincere care for those around her. We’re proud to have you on the Flores team, thank you Jessica!
