Brady Connors – HR/Payroll Associate II
Brady grew up in Orange County until he was 7, then moved to Temecula in 1996. He lived there until the age of 26, when he met his girlfriend – now wife. They moved to Washington for a couple of years, then back to California and lived in San Diego for 4 years. Now they are back in Temecula, living in the house Brady grew up in with their two sons, Kelly and Callum, and two dogs, Kona and Moo.
A hobby for Brady is sports. He grew up playing baseball and tries to take in as many games as he can throughout the season, whether it be watching on tv or in person. He also loves music and has been playing the drums since he was 14. Outside of those, he also enjoys hiking, going to the beach, and having lazy days around the house.
Before 2020, Brady worked in youth sports as a sports coordinator at the Toby Wells YMCA. When the pandemic hit, he was let go and started looking for a new path. He had always been interested in HR, so he searched online and found Flores. He liked what he saw on the website, applied, met with the team – Niki, Jorge, Inez and Jessica- and was hired shortly after.
Brady is currently a HRPA II. One of his favorite things about the company is the supportive team environment – everyone is always willing to help. He also really values the opportunities for growth. In addition to payroll, he’s had the chance to get involved in Onboarding and Training, both of which have been great learning experiences.
Family means everything to Brady and is, coincidentally, his favorite FLORES core value. His wife, kids, and close friends – many of whom he’s known since high school – are the most important people in his life. They are his biggest support system and are all integral to his success, both personally and professionally.
Brady’s favorite quote is often attributed to Socrates, though it’s more of a paraphrase since there’s no solid evidence he actually said it. It goes, “The only thing I know is that I know nothing.”
Brady feels most accomplished when he finishes tasks well and knows it helps others. He manages his time by breaking tasks into smaller steps and allotting each one into specific time windows, which helps him stay focused and meet deadlines. His future goals are to keep learning more about HR and Payroll, take on more responsibilities and help the company succeed – all the while trying to be the best version of himself that he can be.
