Kim Goar – Office Coordinator
Kim grew up in Orange County, Ca and moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University (GO AZTECS) where she majored in Journalism. Once she graduated, she stayed in San Diego where she meets her husband Dan. Kim spent most of her career in the world of document control/contract management working in both the pharmaceutical and life insurance industries, until she took about 6 years off to be a stay-at-home mom. Once her kids were older, she decided to get back into the work force and began working full time at Flores in January of 2023 as the Front Office Coordinator.
So, if you have called our office, you have most likely spoken to Kim. She is great with people and really enjoys the team she works with at Flores. Kim states “with the challenging environment – no two days are alike!”
Most of her free time is spent attending the various sporting events her kids participate in and she would not have it any other way. She loves nothing more than watching her kids do what they love – from football to lacrosse to sideline cheer and all-star cheer, her weeks/weekends are always busy! This is a big year for her family as her oldest will be graduating high school and attending San Diego State in the fall as a Kinesiology major. Her son also started high school this year at Santana as a freshman. Soon Kim and her hubby will be empty nesters!
Kim’s favorite quote:
“You can’t always have a good day, but you can always face a bad day with a good attitude.”
She says “I love this because it reminds me that I cannot control what happens to me, but I can control how I react to it. This is something I try to teach my kids to remember as well.”
She loves checking things off a list. Whenever she feels overwhelmed, she just writes down the tasks that is needed to accomplish and when she starts checking them off the list one by one, it keeps her motivated and encouraged to get it all done.
