Janis Boles- Reconciliation Specialist I
Janis was born in Alabama but moved to San Diego. She grew up in Spring Valley and graduated from Monte Vista High School. She is excited to be completing her course requirements to obtain an Associate of Science degree majoring in Accounting and will be graduating this Spring from Mesa College. In her spare time, when she is not studying, Janis enjoys spending time with her sister, Crystal, and her nephew, Matthew. They often shop at the bookstore and visit the San Diego Zoo together. Janis studied anthropology last semester and gained a fondness for monkeys and is also excited that the pandas are back! Matthew enjoys hiking and together they climbed to the top of Cowles Mountain during Thanksgiving weekend with her dog, Daisy.
Janis began her career in Accounting with the Office Professional Training Program (OPT) at Grossmont College focusing on the Accounting track program. Upon graduation, she was hired by the college as a teacher’s aide in QuickBooks and accounting courses. She also worked for the Grossmont College Tutoring Center tutoring QuickBooks, accounting, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Janis first learned about FLORES while working for the OPT Program. So many graduates were getting jobs at FLORES and raving about how much they loved it (especially Randy Palma). When she noticed an opportunity to apply, she submitted her resume immediately. Janis started working at FLORES as a Jr. Recon Specialist and was promoted to Reconciliation Specialist I by the end of her first year. She is excited to be a part of the FLORES family for over three years. Her favorite aspects of FLORES are its commitment to integrity and devotion to teamwork. What she loves most about her fellow team members at FLORES is their dedication to accuracy, communication, and professionalism. Her favorite quote is “Level Up!” Janis is honored to be a part of the FLORES family, and she feels accomplished when she shows up on time, gets all her assignments completed accurately, and meets all her deadlines!
