Employee Spotlight- Sandra Vidrio #12

Sandra Vidrio- Human Resources Coordinator

As everybody already knows because she loves bragging about it, Sandra was born in the Tequila, fiesta and mariachi land, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, as the youngest of four siblings. She started college in Mexico but for personal reasons, moved to the US back in 2020, so she had to start again from High School. She loves being in this country, but will always be proud of who she is, her roots, and her language. Sandra loves everything that involves being outside and talk to people like riding her bike, hiking, explore new restaurants, or going to parties. She is starting a journal of new restaurants she tries so she has a better reason to go out and find new places.

Sandra started her major in accounting back in 2019 when she was in Mexico. She resumed her education at Grossmont College in 2022 and is finally graduating next semester! FLORES was her first job in the US. Back in 2021 she didn’t have any experience and was working on improving her English. She will always be grateful for the chance she was given to join the FLORES Team. Sandra started at FLORES as an HR Administrator and has quickly grown professionally and advanced to HR Coordinator. FLORES has taught her everything she knows about Human Resources. The main reason why Sandra loves working at FLORES is definitely the company culture. She loves all her coworkers and how everybody is always here to support you.

Family is everything to Sandra. Her favorite days in the week are definitely weekends because she gets to spend those days with her family. Together they enjoy cooking or going out to have dinner together. Her family motivates Sandra to continue and be a better person every day. She lives by the quote: “Enjoy every day as if it was the last one.” She felt like she was becoming a complainer but realized that we are in this world just for a small amount of time to keep hating everything. Life is short; we should enjoy the process. Sandra is not where she wants to be yet, but she is motivated every day by the feeling of knowing she is working very hard to get there.  Her future goals include transferring to SDSU and getting her degree in Public Relations and promoting to HR Generalist here at FLORES and exceeding everybody’s expectations.
