Stella Jean’s Ice Cream was launched in 2018 and quickly gained recognition for its exceptional quality. By 2019, it was listed among the top ten ice creams by USA Today, and in 2023, it caught the attention of the Wall Street Journal. Remarkably, it has been named the best ice cream by SD Magazine four years in a row. The business was named after Stella Jean, a beloved dog, to keep her spirit alive. Fittingly, her favorite treat was ice cream, making the name all the more special.

The first shop opened in University Heights, right next door to their sister company, Pop Pie Co.

Stella Jean’s feels their ice cream evokes memories from childhood & certain experiences that people can connect to. their executive Chef Gan always likes to throw in some Southeast Asian touches—that’s his style, and they love incorporating cultural & global influences across their menus.

Customers love the unique flavors- like Ube + Pandesal Toffee & Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream. Other favorites on the menu are the Classic Chicken Pot Pie, Key Lime Pie, and New Orleans iced coffee.
