Born in London, Orens moved to San Diego at the age of 8 and decided to move to the Philippines after high school where he stayed for 10 years. During his time there he got his Bachelor’s in business with a minor in Marketing. After 2 years of sales in real estate and automobiles he got his first taste in finance by becoming a trader at HDI Securities where he bought and sold stocks for clients. Still itching to get into business he convinced one of his clients to venture into manufacturing by creating a business plan. She liked what she saw, and Orens was off to China to visit manufacturers and import raw materials and machines. During that time, he also invested into his friend’s restaurant, Game Over PH- Philippines first ever gaming restobar where he helped its Facebook page reach 40k likes. After 2 years he decided to sell all his shares and move back to San Diego to be closer to family and decided to pursue an MBA from UCSD. He eventually settled down to become an Accountant at Midland Credit Management (Encore Capital) and finally a Financial Planning & Analyst at FLORES.
